Mobile Car Detailing in Five Points, Raleigh

We detail on Anderson, Cowper, Reaves, Pine and the side streets off Glenwood — in whatever space you've got. Five Points driveways are narrow and the street parking is tight, so our van is set up to work in a single car's footprint and carries its own water and power.

Real work, real streets

What detailing in Five Points actually involves

We've done eighteen details inside Five Points, so this isn't guesswork. The housing stock here is pre-war, the tree canopy is enormous, and a lot of households keep two vehicles on a driveway built for one. All three of those change how we schedule and price a job.

Two vehicles, one visit

This comes up more in Five Points than anywhere else we work — we've cleaned a Lexus TX alongside a Suburban, and a GMC Canyon Denali next to a Range Rover, each in a single stop. If you've got two cars, ask for a quote rather than booking twice: back-to-back at one address is cheaper than two separate appointments and takes one afternoon instead of two.

Pre-war driveways and tight curbs

Most homes off Fairview and Whitaker Mill have a single-width drive, sometimes with a detached garage set back behind the house. We don't need you to move anything or create space. The van parks at the curb and we work around the vehicle where it sits — including on-street, which we do regularly on Anderson and Reaves without blocking a lane.

Oak canopy: sap, pollen and acorn dust

The willow oaks that make the neighborhood pleasant are hard on paint. Spring coats everything in yellow-green pollen that holds moisture against the clearcoat; summer adds sap droplets that bond hard. Neither comes off with a normal wash. Sap needs a solvent and a clay bar, and that's an Exterior or Luxury Detail job rather than something we can rinse away.

EVs and hybrids

Five Points has gone electric faster than most of Raleigh. We have a Model Y here on its third detail with us, and we've worked on an Ioniq 5 nearby. There's no engine bay to steam and no exhaust tip to polish, so an EV detail puts the time into the frunk, the glass and the big center screen — which gets cleaned by hand, never with a wet cloth and pressure.

The figures below are the starting point for a coupe in reasonable shape. Five Points leans toward three-row SUVs and crew-cab trucks, which sit above them. Booking online shows you the real number for your exact vehicle before you confirm anything, so nothing moves on the day.

Two cars on the drive? That's our most common Five Points booking — send both vehicles through the quote form and we'll price them as one stop.

How a Five Points booking runs

Three steps, nothing for you to supply

You don't have to be home while we work, and you don't have to provide water, power or space beyond the spot the car is already in.

1. Book or ask for a quote

Choose a package and a slot online, or describe the vehicle and we'll come back with a figure for its actual condition.

2. We turn up self-contained

You get a text when the technician is en route. Water, power and every product come with us, which matters on streets where the outside tap is around the back of a 1930s house.

3. Inspect, then pay

We go around the vehicle together before anything is charged, and you've got 48 hours afterwards to raise anything at all.

Free, no obligation

Get a Five Points quote

Tell us the vehicle and be honest about its state. Pet hair, beach sand, spilled milk and ground-in sap all add time, and we'd rather build that into the quote than discover it in your driveway and have an awkward conversation.

We cover 27608 and the parts of 27604, 27605 and 27609 that sit against it, with no travel charge. Hayes Barton, Bloomsbury, Georgetown and Anderson Heights are all the same price as a job on Glenwood Avenue itself.

Questions

Five Points detailing, answered

Not covered here? Send us the details and you'll get a straight answer before you commit to anything.

My driveway is single-width. Is that a problem?

No, and it's what we expect here. We need roughly a door's width around the vehicle to work, not a double bay. If the drive only fits the car, the van waits at the curb and we run everything from there. We've never had to turn down a Five Points address for space.

What if I only have street parking?

That's fine and we do it often on Anderson and Reaves. We work from the sidewalk side where we can and keep the travel lane clear. The one thing worth checking is street sweeping or any permit rules on your block, because a ticket during a four-hour detail is an annoying way to find out.

Can you really get tree sap off, or will it need paint correction?

Fresh sap lifts with a solvent and a clay bar as part of an Exterior or Luxury Detail. Sap that's baked on through a summer has often etched the clearcoat underneath, and once it's etched, cleaning it reveals a dull mark rather than removing one. That needs machine polishing, which we quote separately. Send a photo and we'll tell you which one you're looking at instead of guessing on arrival.

How does pricing work for two cars at the same house?

Use the quote form rather than the booking calendar and list both vehicles. Two cars in one stop costs less than two visits because we only set up once, and you only give up one afternoon. Our bigger Five Points jobs have been exactly this — two vehicles, one driveway, one invoice.

Do you detail electric cars?

Yes, and regularly in this neighborhood. No engine bay cleaning and no exhaust work, so that time goes into the front storage area, the glass and the interior. Large center screens are cleaned by hand with a dry microfibre and a dedicated screen product — never a wet cloth, and never anything with ammonia, which hazes the anti-glare coating.

Is there a travel fee to 27608?

None. Five Points is close to the middle of our service area, so the price you see for your vehicle is the whole price. We also don't charge differently for a weekend slot, though those book out first.
